Our Employment & Training staff, State of California Employment Development Department (EDD), and partner agencies are committed to providing services via phone, e-mail, and online. Unemployment Insurance (UI) and Other Benefit Information
If your employment has been interrupted due to COVID-19 (fewer or no work hours, if you have been laid off, if you have been disabled as a result of), you can apply for Unemployment Insurance benefits.
If you are unsure of whether you should go to work or not, please contact your employer directly.
There is no waiting period to apply. The Governor’s executive order waives the one-week waiting period for Unemployment Insurance.

Job Link provides career assistance for all, including residents who:
- Receive unemployment benefits

- Need training or experience, including On the Job Training, Certifications, or Licenses
